We welcome Yasmin Escobar and Katherine Coleman, this year high school participants in a summer program sponsored by the Academy of Applied Science under funding provided by the US Army Research Office. In the framework of this activity the students are exposed to academic environment, participate in research related activities and gain new experience for selecting their academic path. The Department of Atmospheric and Oceanic Science has participated in this program since its inception in 1980. The program is under the direction of Professor R.T. Pinker.
