The University of Maryland, College Park has been closed to the public since March 13, 2020 in an effort to reduce the spread of COVID-19 as the safety of the university community and our visitors is a priority. We are deeply saddened that we did not have the opportunity to meet the majority of our admitted applicants in person. We were very excited to introduce you to the AOSC family, to tour the facilities and our beautiful campus. The Department of Atmospheric & Oceanic Science is just a short drive away from our affiliates at ESSIC, NASA-GSFC and NOAA. We understand how very difficult it must be to make such an important decision during these difficult times of uncertainty. We are extending our admissions decision deadline to May 1, 2020.
