Funds support research focused on accessibility, social justice, sustainability and learning.

A University of Maryland-led study revealed that the bay is experiencing “significant increases” in annual heat waves, but satellites show that not all regions are warming equally.

Almost 1,900 students from our college were set to graduate in May 2025.

Roughly 500 students from disciplines across campus will present their work to peers, faculty and staff, and families and friends in the Stamp Student Union at Undergraduate Research Day. 

The five-year fellowships provide three years of financial support, including an annual stipend of $37,000.

This year's awardees were selected from a pool of more than 650 nominations from the CMNS community.

They join 469 other scientists, engineers and innovators who received the distinguished lifetime honor within the scientific community this year.

The College of Computer, Mathematical, and Natural Sciences will host 49 events.

Russ Dickerson will receive the 2025 CMNS Board of Visitors’ Distinguished Faculty Award – the highest faculty award of the Board and the College.
