Our program is particularly strong in atmospheric chemistry and air pollution, mesoscale to global numerical weather prediction, data assimilation, Earth sciences and climate, physical cceanography, remote sensing, and dynamics with predictability.

To apply, complete the online graduate application, upload a copy of the official transcript for each institution you attended, and pay a non-refundable $75 application processing fee.

Our most qualified applicants are awarded fellowships, research assistantships, or teaching assistantships. These include a stipend, tuition remission, and enrollment in university health insurance.

Most of our students are not required to teach, allowing them to focus more on research.
