I am a PhD student studying precipitation in tropical cyclones and how it relates to intensification with Dr. Jonathon Poterjoy. In the summer, I collaborate with scientists from the Naval Research Lab in Monterey, CA. My expertise includes using microwave imagery to label and understand different types of secondary eyewalls. I have also used satellite-based precipitation products to study hurricanes under varying shear and vortex tilt directions.
