870 students in the college are candidates for graduation in August and December 2021.

Congratulations to AOSC senior Leah Hopson for being selected as a University of Maryland Senior Marshal! Leah is the first Senior Marshal to represent our department.

AOSC graduated senior Sam Varga has been announced as 1 of 3 CMNS students selected as a Philip Merrill Presidential Scholar for the 2021-22 period. Professor Tim Canty served as Sam's academic advisor.

We are proud to announce that The Department of Atmospheric & Oceanic Science has been selected as 1 of 15 2021 AGU Bridge Program partners.

Clarivate's recent release of their Highly Cited Researchers named AOSC Professor Zhanqing Li among the 2021 recipients in the category of Geosciences (150 total in the world).

Alumni and supporters from around the world helped the college raise funds for facilities, research, faculty and student support.

AOSC professor Russell Dickerson and University of Maryland researches take part in a collaborative project with CU Boulder and others to measure trace gases thousands of feet above the Colorado Front Range.
